WebTrans is an online tool of memoQ. It allows translators to access online memoQ projects without downloading the software itself.
The basic operation is the same: the source text is segmented, and the translation should be added to the target language cell. After confirming the line (segment), it goes into the translation memory. On the right-hand side panel, translation memory matches are shown, the repetitions are automatically added to every segment that contains the same source text.

To access the projects linked to your account, you need a login name and a password that will be provided by the project manager. This is a permanent login name and password, so please, save these data.
After logging in to your account, you will see the files assigned to you:
When clicking the line, the file to be translated opens and the translation grid appears:
The status of the lines (segments) varies. Green means the segment is confirmed so no need to handle it. Blue segments are pre-translated so matches from the memory have been added to help your work. In the right-hand side panel, you can also see the difference between the source segment of the match and the current source text.
If the ration that appears in the line is 100% or 101%, it means a total match:
If the ratio is lower, there is a difference, but it still can be used to recreate the translation for the new source. The differences will appear again on the panel, showing what has been added or changed in the source:
On the upper part of the right-hand side shows the translation memory matches, highlighted in red. Purple lines are automated translations (rarely usable, but it may help), yellow ones are from the integrated dictionary. By clicking a memory match, you can easily add it to the target and then you can edit it the way you like.
If the line (segment) is ready, you have to confirm it by clicking the ctrl+enter button combination or by using the green tick. When confirming a segment, it saves the translation into the memory. You can still edit it later but remember to edit the first coincidence to have the memoQ add it to the rest of the same source segments.
The translation grid is split into pages, you can go to next or previous page by clicking on the arrows on the upper left side.
When you are ready with one file, please click on the ‘Delivery’ button on the upper right side of the window. After delivering, you cannot edit the file anymore.
